Italy is a major exporter of wine, with aheritage dating back more than 2,000 years to Roman times. It is the perfectsetting for European Waterways’ new wine appreciation cruises for 2019 on La Bella Vita, the20-passenger hotel barge that navigates the Venetian Lagoon and waterways ofthe Po Valley, a region that is home to some of Italy’s best wines. European Waterways is celebrating its new wine oriented cruises with a 10%reduction on whole boat charters, good on select departures in March, April andMay 2019 and when booked by January 7, 2019.
“La Bella Vitacan accommodate up to 20 passengers, making it ideal for small groups and localclubs that wish to become more familiar with the wide range of fine winesproduced in this important region of Italy,” said Derek Banks, managingdirector of European Waterways. “The vessel is unique in the industry, offeringthe intimacy and upscale services of our smaller luxury hotel barges, withfirst-rate accommodations, gourmet dining and a crew of 10 to ensure a flawlessexperience for our guests.”
Special pricing on whole boat charters for wine cruises start as low as$64,035, making them an exceptional value. Excursions include a ride on aprivate boat to the island of Sant’Erasmo, where guests will enjoy an exclusivetasting at the domain of Orto di Venezia, Venice’s only winery – famous for theproduction of Casanova’s favorite wine.
